Milwaukie North - 04/13/16

On April 13th at our monthly visit to Milwaukie Laundry, we had the opportunity to serve 14 neighbors and help complete a total of 27 loads of laundry, including 5 small, 14 medium, and 8 large loads. Lunch was a simple and satisfying spread of hamburgers, chips, and cookies, which brought everyone together for a warm meal and good conversation.

Rita was there being her sweet and wonderful self as always, helping create the welcoming atmosphere that makes these days extra special. We were also grateful for the support from the GracePointe folks, whose partnership helped make the day run smoothly. In addition, we received a donation of hygiene items for our resource table, giving us even more ways to support our neighbors beyond clean clothes and a meal. It was a great day filled with kindness, connection, and community!
