Milwaukie South - 12/17/2025

Last Wednesday night at QED Laundry in Milwaukie was one of those evenings that reminded us just how powerful community can be. We served 30 neighbors as washers and dryers stayed busy with a mix of small, medium, and large loads rolling through the night. The rush kept us moving, but it also kept the space full of conversation, warmth, and connection.

We were grateful to have volunteers alongside us, and it was especially meaningful to welcome one of our LoveOne board members, the fabulous Debbie, who stopped by to visit and support the work happening on the ground. Our incredible friend from 4D Recovery, Valerie, jumped in during the busiest moments and was a huge help in keeping things flowing smoothly.

The evening was fueled by comfort and care. Alina prepared a heartwarming chicken Thai soup paired with cornbread, which was deeply appreciated on a chilly December night. The marvelous Mary also came through with bagged lunches and trash bags for The Father's Heart, extending the impact of the night beyond the laundromat walls.

Nights like this are a reminder that it’s never just about laundry, it’s about showing up, sharing a meal, lending a hand, and making space for neighbors to feel seen and supported.

We will be back at QED on Wednesday, 1/7, so mark your calendars and tell your friends!
