Sandy - 11/13/25

Our November 13th event at Cedars Laundromat in Sandy was full of warmth, connection, and a whole lot of clean clothes! We welcomed 44 neighbors and finished 48 loads of laundry, all while sharing good food and even better company.

We were delighted to have Grace and Tracy from the Oregon Department of Human Services join us for the day, bringing their friendly energy and support to the space. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Sandy event without our favorite neighbor, Scot, keeping spirits high with a few rounds of Uno.

Lunch was a cozy highlight: elk chili and cornbread, generously prepared and served by the amazing Tony from Liquid Mettle NW, an Oregon City Chamber member. Tony originally joined us during a hosting event, loved what he saw, found our sign-up sheet online, and showed up ready to feed the community! What an incredible gesture of support that made the whole day feel extra special.

Days like this remind us how community grows: one warm meal, one kind volunteer, and one load of laundry at a time.

We are at Cedars in Sandy every Thursday morning from 11am-1pm so come on down and toss in a load!
