On February 5th, we had our hopes set on experiencing our very first snow during a Trash Extravaganza, but the weather forecasters fooled us again and we were left with a little rain and A LOT of mud. Our small but mighty team beautified two locations in Milwaukie that desperately needed our help, Kronberg Park and Dogwood Park. We crammed a 30-yard dumpster full to the brim, in partnership with our friends at Milwaukie Code Enforcement and the Milwaukie Police Department!!
It’s tough to give out MVP awards as this team crushed it today, on what turned out to be a more challenging task than anticipated. But a special shout-out to Ian who sacrificed his ear on the dumpster in dedication to the cause. Heal up soon Ian!
The incredible Shawn and Eric were the real bonze of the team for carrying all the ridiculously heavy items and saving the backs of the middle-aged team members.
Finally, a big thanks to Daniel who participated in his first trash removal extravaganza and made sure we didn’t leave anything behind.
