Our March 14th Trash Extravaganza was a smashing success!

10 participants joined us under the Oregon City Boardwalk as we loaded up a 40-yard dropbox with an incredible amount of trash and everyone definitely got their 10,000 steps for the day. We even had enough time to haul a load of trash in a pickup from 17th and Main.
The greatest part of the day was seeing a few newer participants find a sense of purpose and community during these events. We are elated to see them come alive after being given a chance to be a part of something and make a difference.
It was tough to see a difference at first because it’s an extremely long stretch of land with massive amounts of refuse strewn about but in the end, we did a bang-up job clearing the area!
We will be back here in April picking up trash left from illegal dumping and abandoned camps in our effort to beautify Clackamas County for everyone.
