Trash Extravaganza - 08/26/26

Last week (8/26), 13 participants from The Father's Heart teamed up with us for an end-of-summer cleanup under the boardwalk, and together, we got the area looking sparkly clean again!

Our crew tackled blackberry bushes, steep slopes, and months of built-up trash, trudging through the tough spots and successfully pulling out a seriously impressive amount of garbage. Along the way, there was plenty of sunshine, laughter, and teamwork. As a thank you for their hard work, each participant received a card for their time and effort.

And then the incredibly awesome crew from Andres Landscape stepped in and offered to load up all that trash and haul it to the dump. Talk about a total team win!

This cleanup is a great example of what can happen when community partners come together to take care of the place we all call home.

A huge thank you to the marvelous Mike and The Father’s Heart for coordinating this much-needed cleanup, to the TFH participants for putting in the hard work, and to Andres Landscape for helping us get the job done from start to finish.
