Welches - 07/15/26

On July 15th, we had the opportunity to serve 12 neighbors at our free laundry day at Welches Laundromat and help complete an incredible 40 loads of laundry. Every load washed is one less burden for someone already carrying so much, and we're grateful to be able to provide this simple but meaningful service to our community.

Our guests enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken fried rice and fresh oranges, offering a chance to relax, enjoy good food, and connect with others while their laundry was being done.

We were also happy to have our fabulous friend Fengming Wu from the Oregon Department of Human Services join us with valuable resources and information, helping connect our neighbors to additional support and services beyond laundry.

Thank you to everyone who helped make another Welches event possible. It takes a community working together to create spaces where people feel welcomed, cared for, and supported.

We are at bak at Welches Laundromat on Wednesday, 8/5, so mark those calendars, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
