Welches - 08/19/26

Our August 19th event at Welches Laundromat may have been a smaller day, but it was filled with the kind of community support that makes these events so special. We served 10 awesome neighbors and completed 10 loads of laundry, making sure everyone who came through the doors received extra care.

We were especially grateful to have the fabulous Heather, the owner of the laundromat, with us. Heather is an amazing human, has been such a wonderful supporter of our events, and she went above and beyond by preparing a delicious lunch of beef stroganoff for everyone. Nothing says community quite like a homemade meal shared with neighbors!

We were also joined by our good friend and incredible volunteer, Fengming Wu of the Oregon Department of Human Services, who spent the day connecting with our neighbors and providing support.

It may have been a quieter day in Welches, but the heart of the community was definitely showing. That's another pretty great day on the books!
